The Complete Interview List

1 - Tell us how your project(s) were started.

That is a big question! It started when I was sixteen and I released like 15 tapes. I used to do the tape co-opt in the early 90's. I guess how it all started was in 1993 when I heard bands like: The Meat Shits and Anal Cunt. I decided I could goof around like that too with a tape recorder making shitcore grind noise. I was working on a local zine and we received a tape from The Earwigs. It was a lo-fi tape with xeroxed cover. I was astonished that someone would release that and also that other small tape labels were distroing it. So I contacted Stupidity Records run by Billy Nocera, which later became Razorback Records eventually. He was into promoting and distribution of noise bands. The more D.I.Y., the better.
Through connections with him I eventually met alot of noise musicians that became later mail pals. I then decided to start my own label and call it Fecal-Matter Discorporated for my project Fecel-Cide, which was a semi-politcal noise band. I was also member of infamous bored garage band called God's Favorite Band (not the famous one) taking influence from notrious bands like: GG Allin, Sockeye and Ween. From then on it all went pretty steady. Fecel-Cide eventually turned into a collective idea for a seven inch release with Bastard Noise called Personasnongratas. About 1996 I broke away from the scene and mostly stayed to myself. I had to work some things out in my life and was obssessed by the writings of Aleister Crowley. I read and praticed some of his works until late 2001. You could say I was on a musical hiatus and went on to more magickal study! I was even very close to joining an Order, but did not beleive in the amount of money they wanted me to pay for dues.
Finally, I started my third project Absynth (To His Macabre Angel). Which was a more electronic project dedicated to the beliefs of Aleister Crowley and Thelema. Influenced by such artists as:Aphex Twin, Coil, Skinny Puppy, and even some unheard of blackmetal and progressive rock. It now has taken on a more atmospheric shape. Driving for ritual chamber musick. I use the (K) as Crowley did to signify the magickal properties inside the tones and feelings all in connection with the Qabblah and 777.
Around this time I needed people to hear my new works. So I decided to start a label with Absynth (To His Macabre Angel) as the main band. I called the label Alarming Echo Beats. It is an anagram, just like that name of my new project. Many bands finally contacted me and asked me to distribute some of their releases, plus I had some old tapes from back in 1993. At this time I also decided to re-open Fecal-Matter Discorporated. It seemed right given the internet and such...
Then once again after several years, I became like a split personality. Switching from ambient music on AEB to gore porn grind shit core on FMD. And so thus is how it begins again... I hope within a year there is a 7" or CD. But I think at the same time I will always release tapes and CD-Rs for the more DIY stuff. Plus it is easy and fun and very independent and one of a kind still. So no matter what I hope to make pro stuff, but keep the same format I have going.

2 - What does music, in it's entirety, mean to you?

I guess it would be: Harmonics, Pythagoras, Music and the Universe. After researching what notes sounded pleasant together Pythagoras worked out the frequency ratios (or string length ratios with equal tension) and found that they had a particular mathematical relationship. The way musick responds to people. It could make you dance, to almost kill someone or yourself. The vibrations that it sets off are like energy. You could use it for many different reasons. Even the Qabbalah has musical notes applied to the characters/sigils assigned to them. They can be used for different things. Also when the proper colours and numbers fall in order they can synthesize almost your energy. Some musick is Art and comes from the
spirit. Other forms of music are entertainment. Look at people in Hati that dance for Macumba. They become possessed by the rythmns. After fastings and trance swoon induced states they basically re-program the reality tunnels in their brains. The magick or belief possibly works sometimes. It can be done also with initiation drugs too in certain cultures. Even nature itself in the still of a forest has it's own rythmn. Now there is chaotic sounds too like Noise! Noise are frequecies not in any order but somehow fall into order, certain frequencies we know now you can use for weapons too. The sonic nausea device or plasma cannon take for instance. So now sound can even destroy! Alot of music was sang or played into battle or for resistance. Music is kind of a way of releasing all that is pent up within you.

3 - What does art, in it's entirety, mean to you?

Art now a-days is a commodity! It is all been used and re-hashed. There is rarely something new or unique now. I think Hakim Bey sums it up best in the T.A.Z. book/CD in the chapter called "Immediatism". I will qoute him "Everything delicate and beautiful, from Surrealism to Breakdancing, ends up as fodder for McDeth's ads;15 minutes later all the magic has been sucked out, and the art itself dead as a dried locust. The
media-wizards, who are nothing if not postmordernists, have begun to feed on the vitality of "Trash," like vultures regurgitating and re-consuming the same carrion, in an obscene ecstasy of self-referentiality. Which way to the Egress?"
So I hope that sums it up! Most art now is done for money and not for true artistic expression.
I see many different people doing true art..... but still very few. Loyd Kaufman from Troma has no restraints. He is going against the grain
butting heads with major motion picture corporations. But yet he still releases his sleaze cinema, which is an artform. There is also martial arts or
black arts. Notice the names. They are artforms that discipline the body or mind, and if exercised it could become a true expression of self.
But overall...ART is a real vague word. Anything could be considered art by some people. I guess it varies.

4 - Who is your favorite author, and why?

Another hard question!! Aleister Crowley it has to be! He was like a bohemian before there were really bohemians.
Mountain climber, poet, drug addict, and spiritualist. He wrote so many books he had to go back and start making commentary on things he had written in the past. He also showed how Western man could benefit from all worldly religions and use them at will. We are all connected somehow and the energies we use are all the same way but in lesser or higher degrees. Plus there is that deviant side to him that attracts me. His mother called him the Beast 666, because she was a religious nut. His satanic appearence in history makes him more interesting than most modern writers. Even his fictious stories have elements that only the initiated one could resolve. The only mordern writer that can touch him would be Robert Anton Wilson who wrote Illuminatus Trilogy and more. And was a devoted reader of Crowley too. Crowley was one of those authors who lived
what he said in his books. And if you ever use any of his systems, I will quote him by saying "There is Success". The Aeon is upon us and the old religions are dying out slowly. Then a time will come for everyone to realize Thelema. Thelema is the greek word meaning WILL.

5 - As your best friend, describe yourself.

Hmmm, I guess I am too concerned with other people. I want to spread the word around about everything. I want to make everyone understand. Always playing the psychologist for everyone in need. I am dedicated to what ever project I become obssessed with. I do not know what to say I feel as though I am a dog! Hahahah! Wah wah wah!

6 - As your worst enemy, describe yourself.

I like this one. Hahaha! Schizophrenic, Anti-Social, Satanist, Anti-Semetic, Anti-Christian. Devil Worshipper, Unorthodox, Not PC! Debauched, Pervert, Hahahah!!!!!! But hey all that sounds kinda cool. I do not want to be part really of anything that would even label me as that. But I will gladly take the labels. I will quote Anton Szandor Lavey, "Blessed is the man who has a sprinkling of enemies, for they shall make him a hero -- Cursed is he who doeth good unto others who sneer upon him in return, for he shall be despised!"

7 - If your persona were immortalized as a cartoon character, who would it be?

That is a toss up. I think when I am annoying and dumb; I remind myself of SpongeBob Square Pants. "I'm Ready I'm Ready I'm Ready". But.....for real I guess it would be the little girl from Miyazaki's Spirited Away. Only I think I would have stayed in the spirit world at the bath house!

8 - Do you think there are conspiracies against the "everyday person"?

The "everyday person"??? Like bad things in the food we eat! Or the New World Order coming to get all of us. Most people are zombies, cattle, or may I say sheeple. Ready for the slaughter??? Then I guess the answer is "Yes!"

9 - What do you do with your spare or free time?

I watch and collect Japanese toys and cinema.Or right now listen to alot of grind metal. Talk to people from around the world to figure what it is like outside the US. Expressing to some countries that I do not believe in this mess here in America. Sometimes I read, but not much lately... Eat?? Cook!!

10 - Please give us your interpretation of "the meaning of life".

Ok I will give you my omnipotent answer. Well, it is not mine it is a poem by Aleister Crowley called "Onion Peelings". It is found the in Book of Lies. Here it is:
"The Universe is the Practical Joke of the General at the Expense of the Particular, quoth FRATER PERDURABO, and laughed.
But those disciples nearest to him wept, seeing the Universal Sorrow.
Those next to them laughed, seeing the Universal Joke.
Below these certain disciples wept.
Then certain laughed.
Others next wept.
Others next laughed.
Next others wept.
Next others laughed.
Last came those that wept because they could not see the Joke,
and those that laughed lest they
should be thought not to see the Joke, and thought
it safe to act like FRATER PERDURABO.
But though FRATER PERDURABO laughed
openly, He also at the same time wept secretly;
and in Himself He neither laughed nor wept.
Nor did He mean what He said."
