The Complete Interview List

1 - Tell us how your project(s) were started.

I have been in bands since I was 14 years old. I am now 26 and have been halfway around the world from playing music. I am still in a growing stage with Unearth and we have a long way to go before we can actually call it a career.
Knowing how hard it was to get to this level, and knowing what it took to get here, I figured I would use my "expertise" and help out others bands that I think kick ass get to a higher level so I started Ironclad Recordings.

2 - What does music, in its entirety, mean to you?

Music to me is a release of energy, emotion and soul.

3 - What does art, in its entirety, mean to you?

Art to me is very similar to music. To sum art up quickly it is an expression of who a person really is. It doesn't matter if a person has problems or joy, if they can escape in their art for a little while it will calm the soul.

4 - Who is your favorite author, and why?

It may sound a bit cliché, but I really dig Stephen King. I am attracted to the dark subjects he writes about, but I also relate to a lot of his characters. My favorite book The Long Walk, which was written by King under his alias name of Richard Bachman, is a story about a group of 100 teen age boys that enter a deadly competition of who can walk the longest without tiring or stopping. There is only one survivor, the winner. Throughout the story King depicts many different relationships that young men have growing up. Reading this book brought me back to being a teen, taking the bike to the BMX track, being a hooligan down town and just hanging out at a friend's house. King knows how to bring in his readers in relation to their own lives. It doesn't always have to be about fantasy in a fiction novel.

5 - As your best friend, describe yourself.

Driven, successful, healthy, caring, educated and street smart.

6 - As your worst enemy, describe yourself.

The only reason to dislike me, is to be jealous of how incredibly rad I am.

7 - If your persona were immortalized as a cartoon character, who would it be?

Optimus Prime.

8 - Do you think there are conspiracies against the "everyday person"?

I don't believe that there are conspiracies against the every day person, but there is indeed propaganda aimed at the general public. People are generally smart as individuals, but as a group people can be very dumb. Our government and other countries governments know this and take advantage of our human ignorance every day.

9 - What do you do with your spare or free time?

At this point in my life I don't have much free time. However, if I were to have a free moment I would relax, watch a movie, and drink a beer or coffee. Just normal stuff.

10 - Please give us your interpretation of "the meaning of life".

To me, life is your chance as a living being to experience your existence on this earth as well as you possibly can.
