1 - Tell us how your project(s) were started.
Razor Crusade originally existed as a weekend outlet for the individual members. After a while we realised we were on to something so we decided to record and see if anyone would buy into it. We are a real band now. Our goal is to try something different.
2 - What does music, in it's entirety, mean to you?
Everything I think music means can be found on the Pet Sounds album by the Beach Boys. Suzanne Reflections bought me a Beach Boys LP the other day and I was so super psyched! It was awesome!
3 - What does art, in it's entirety, mean to you?
Art is the funnest thing on earth.
4 - Who is your
favorite author, and why?
I don't have a favourite, but Joy Impact likes Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto, and generally you can trust her, she works in bookstore so she knows what she's talking about. Let me tell you about movies instead, I like Magnolia a lot. And I mean A LOT. Also I love Eraserhead. I think I have an ok collection, you should come over so we could watch. Joy Impact has Rushmore and I'm getting her to give it to me, she's not falling for it yet so don't go e-mailing her for movies she has and you want ok?
5 - As your best friend, describe yourself.
If I was my own best friend I would think I was the coolest dude ever and I would try to date me. Joy Impact would defenitly try to date herself and fuck herself so hard.
6 - As your worst enemy, describe yourself.
If I was my own worst enemy I would think I was still the coolest dude ever, but I would try to stay as far away from me as possible to mask the fact I wasn't as cool as me. Whatever.
7 - If your persona were immortalized as a cartoon character, who would it be?
Optimus Prime or Fortress Maximus, I think about this a lot actually. Optimus Prime is obviously the coolest robot ever built, but Fortress Maximus was the toughest one. Having an earthling for a head, plus over 2 billion years of war, made that motherfucker hard as fuck. He's still no Scorponok but still.... I wouldn't wanna be a Decepticon, they were wrong. I think Optimus is a bit too posi for my taste. Plus the way Fortress Maximus dies is so dramatic, you can't top that, that's how I want my end to be. But then again, Optimus Prime is a living legend, and is practically immortal, since he died so many times but still ressurected one way or another. This is a tough question, I think the European comics were different from USA ones by the way.
8 - Do you think there are conspiracies against the "everyday person"?
Yes. Against me at least, but I'm not sure if I'm your everyday person though.
9 - What do you do with your spare or free time?
I listen to Pet Sounds on repeat. Plus I like to dress up as Glassjaw members.
10 - Please give us your interpretation of "the meaning of life".
